I am not sure it is possible. Even when overriding gfortran exit
function (that presumably is responsible for exiting to cmd prompt
on error), continuing executing Fortran code probably will lead
to some more serious errors and segfaults.
However, you could run python via some debugger program. It will
not probably stay in Python shell but gives you execution stacks to
study when runtime error occurs.
