In this talk, I will present a review of the current state of knowledge of Nonlinear Elastic Wave Spectroscopy (NEWS) measurements, a subset of nonlinear dynamics Nondestructive Testing (NDT) techniques. When associated with modern signal processing tools (coming from Time Reversal (TR) invariance), this modern advanced TR-NEWS methods constitute one of the most promising methods for nonlinear based metrology devoted to the non destructive/non invasive evaluation of plasticity, fatigue, creep, and aging of complex medium/material coming from the biomedical domain.
